About

Heat and cold, done properly.

We specialise in one thing: getting heat and cold into people's homes. Infrared saunas and cold plunges are where that starts, because they're what most people want first, but the category we know is thermal, not a fixed product list. Hot rooms, cold water, and the equipment that makes both work in a normal house.

We'd rather go deep on a narrow shelf than list four hundred things we've never seen. Everything we sell is a heavy, expensive, semi-permanent object that has to fit through a door, sit on a floor that can hold it, and run off a circuit that already exists. Knowing that properly takes focus.

Why heat and cold belong together

They aren't competing purchases. They're two halves of the same habit, and they peak at opposite ends of the year: a sauna earns its keep from November to February, a plunge from June to September. People who buy one usually come back for the other, so we'd rather be the shop that understands both than one that treats either as an accessory.

It's also where the name comes from. Amber is what a cabin looks like from the inside. Ice is what the plunge does.

What we carry

We are an authorised dealer for ALEKO, Orivon Wellness, Penguin Chillers, Beyond Cold and The Contrast Theory. ALEKO build the traditional cedar and hemlock saunas, the barrel rooms, and the wood-fired tubs and cold plunges, and they are the largest part of what we carry. Orivon build the Lumin infrared cabins and the Auris outdoor cedar saunas. Penguin build water chillers in Knoxville, Tennessee, and they are the part most people underestimate when they plan a plunge. Beyond Cold make the Journey, Pursuit and Summit plunges. The Contrast Theory build the Threshold and Thermal Cell infrared cabins and the Cold Vessel and Cold Field plunges, and they carry the freight themselves rather than passing it on.

Being an authorised dealer is not a badge, it is what keeps your warranty intact. Several manufacturers in this category void cover on units bought through unauthorised sellers, so it is worth checking wherever you buy, not just here.

More agreements are in progress, and we will name each one here as it is signed rather than before.

We don't carry a brand we wouldn't put in our own house, and we won't list a unit we can't get parts or warranty support for. If a manufacturer can't tell us what a replacement heater costs in year four, that tells us something worth knowing.

How we're useful

The specifications on this site are real, and they're the same ones we'd read before buying. Every product page carries interior and exterior dimensions, shipping weight, voltage and amperage, heater type and wattage, and the assembled footprint. Where a number is approximate, we say so. Where a manufacturer won't confirm something, we say that too.

The most valuable thing we do is tell you when something is wrong for you. A four-person cabin in a garage on a single 15-amp circuit is a returns claim waiting to happen, and a return on a 400 lb pallet is nobody's good day. Tell us your space, your access route and your circuit before you order, and we'll tell you honestly which units fit, including when the answer is none of them.

What we're not

We're not a wellness brand, and we don't make claims we can't cite. We sell equipment.

We do write about heat and cold: what the research has looked at, what it found, and where it's thinner than the headlines suggest. We'll cite it so you can read it yourself. What we won't do is tell you a cabin will fix your sleep, your recovery or your inflammation. Much of the evidence in this field is observational rather than controlled, which means it can show a pattern but can't prove a cause. Anyone selling you certainty is selling you something else.

What sauna bathing and cold immersion do or don't do for you is between you and your doctor. If you have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, are pregnant, or take medication affecting circulation or heat regulation, please speak to them before using either product.

Talking to us

Call (855) 500-4493 or email sales@amberandice.com. A person picks up, and a person replies. If you're weighing two units, tell us the room, the doorway width, the floor, and what's on the circuit. That's usually enough for a straight answer.

Already ordered? support@amberandice.com handles deliveries, damage claims and warranty.
