Shipping Policy

Where we ship

We ship to the contiguous 48 United States. We do not currently ship to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes or freight forwarders. If you are outside that area, email us before ordering and we will tell you whether it can be done and what it would cost.

How these items ship

Saunas and cold plunges are crated and move by LTL freight, not parcel carriers. In practice that means:

  • Curbside is the standard service — the driver brings the pallet to the end of your drive or the kerb. They are not obliged to take it up a drive, into a garage, or through a doorway.
  • Threshold and inside placement can be arranged on most items for an additional fee. Ask before you order and we will quote it; it is far cheaper booked up front than added later.
  • The carrier will call to schedule a delivery window. Someone over 18 must be present to receive and sign.
  • A standard freight truck is around 48 ft. If your street, drive or gate cannot take one, tell us before you order so we can arrange a smaller vehicle or a terminal collection.
  • Crates are heavy — commonly 120 to 550 lb. Plan for two people, or ask us about liftgate service at checkout.

Processing and transit

Orders are processed within [[ PROCESSING_DAYS ]] business days. Transit is typically [[ TRANSIT_DAYS ]] business days after dispatch, but freight is less predictable than parcel shipping and weather, terminal backlogs and re-routing all add days. We will pass on whatever the carrier tells us, without padding it.

Shipping cost

Shipping is free on every order. Any additional services you request — liftgate, inside delivery, residential surcharge, re-delivery after a missed appointment, or storage at a terminal — are chargeable and will be quoted before we book them.

Inspect before you sign

This is the single most important paragraph on this page.

Examine the crate before the driver leaves. If you see any damage — punctures, crushed corners, a shifted or re-wrapped load — write it on the delivery receipt before you sign and photograph the crate from several angles. If the damage is severe, you may refuse the delivery outright.

A signed clean delivery receipt tells the carrier the goods arrived intact, and it makes a later damage claim very difficult for anyone to win. Note it, photograph it, then email us the same day at support@amberandice.com and we will open the claim for you.

Concealed damage

If you find damage only after unpacking, report it to us within 5 business days of delivery with photographs of both the product and the original packaging. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved; carriers routinely require it as evidence.

Missed deliveries and refusals

If you are not present for a scheduled delivery window, the carrier will usually charge a re-delivery fee, and terminals charge storage after a few days. Those costs are passed on at cost. A delivery refused for any reason other than visible freight damage is treated as a return and the terms of our Returns Policy apply, including return freight.

Title and risk

Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. Please make sure that address is one where a freight truck can actually reach and someone can actually sign.
