Description

The chiller that turns a tub you already own into a plunge.

7,500 BTU/hr with the pump built into the same box, which is the part that matters. Most chillers at this size expect you to buy and plumb a separate pump, and that is where a first build usually goes wrong. This one arrives as a single unit with 3/4 inch camlocks on the inlet and outlet.

Titanium coil, R-32 refrigerant, and it is rated for outdoor siting above freezing. 49 lb and 17 inches wide, so it fits beside a stock tank or a barrel without a platform. 56 dBA, which is roughly a fridge, but site it where that is acceptable.

Key Features
  • 7,500 BTU/hr. Sized for a single-person tub of roughly 80 to 100 gallons.
  • Built-in pump. One box, one plug. No separate pump to buy or plumb.
  • 3/4 in camlocks. Tool free connections that break for winter.
  • Titanium coil. The metal in contact with the water, so it resists corrosion.
  • Outdoor rated. Above 32°F ambient. Drain it if it will freeze.
  • 56 dBA. About the level of a domestic fridge.
  • 110 to 120V, 3.9A. Plugs into a standard socket on a 6 ft cord.
  • One-year warranty. Manufacturer parts and labour cover.

Before you order
  • Match it to your tub. 7,500 BTU suits a single-person tub around 80 to 100 gallons. Tell us your volume and how cold you want to hold it and we will confirm the sizing before you order.
  • The install kit is optional. It adds a 150 micron washable filter, two 6 ft lengths of 3/4 in tubing, bulkheads, clamps and barbed elbows. The bulkheads only fit a tub wall of 1/4 in or less, so check yours.
  • Power. 110 to 120V, 3.9A on a 6 ft cord. Do not run it on an extension lead.
  • Siting. It produces condensation. Put it somewhere that can get wet.
  • Freezing. Outdoor rated above 32°F only. Disconnect and drain it below that.
You will also need a pump

A chiller does not circulate water on its own. It needs a pump to move water between the chiller and your plunge.

We recommend running the pump submersed. Submersed operation keeps the pump primed, runs quieter, and puts no load on the pump inlet. It can also be plumbed in line. If you do, hand-tighten the fitting at the inlet, do not force it, and support the weight of the pipework so it does not bear on the pump body. The inlet is the part most likely to be damaged by an over-tightened or unsupported fitting.
